About Us
Georgette Scott, (known as Georgie) is the founder and Managing Director of Advantage HR. Georgie is an HR Professional with 20 years of Strategic, Managerial and Operational HR experience in Public, Private and Commercial sectors. Her last role before deciding to set up Advantage HR was as Director of HR, Channel Islands and IOM for Cable & Wireless.
With conisdierable experience in Employee Relations, Georgie was a founder Adjudicator for the States of Guernsey Employment Protection Law in 2000 and has, since the law was amended, continued as a regular Tribunal Chair and Side Member to the Employment and Discrimination Tribunal Service.
As an experienced management developer and coach, Georgie was a part-time Lecturer for 5 years on the Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP), the first level course of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) at the Guernsey College of Further Education.
Georgie is a member of the SHL Partner Network and the TMSDI Network and qualified with the British Psychological Society for both Level A and Level B psychological testing, supporting employers throughout the employee life cycle in providing assessments to define, measure and then realise the potential of their people.
Georgie has recent experience in Organisational Change Programmes, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Competency Frameworks, Brand Alignment, Reorganisation and Restructuring, Major Recruitment Programmes and Talent Management and Succession Planning and thrives on assisting organisations to manage change, protect themselves from the demands of Employment Law and to achieve their goals through their people.
Peter Woodward, Associate, worked twenty-nine years in “High Technology” industry, first with Texas Instruments and then subsequently with Intel Corporation in a variety of roles including being a member of a multi disciplinary team which established a $1.5 Billion manufacturing site in the Republic of Ireland.
In his final role with Intel as EAME Training Director he played a key role in developing and delivering a range of advanced and sophisticated training programmes to more than 3500 Intel Managers world wide; with particular focus on the Pentium design, production teams and marketing
Whilst at Intel he undertook a master’s degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University in California, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development teams.
In his consulting role he has undertaken a wide variety of briefs / projects including being a member of a “Transfer of Western Management Practices” consulting team for joint Chinese French (EDF) development of a Nuclear Energy Centre in Beijing; and was appointed as lead HR consultant during a major change initiative with Abbey National International.
Other projects in recent years have included the role of temporary HR Director for Schroders Channel islands to assist in a major change project, and managing a major European recruitment drive for Generali Pan Europe. He has recently advised several significant Channel Island organizations on development of strategic plans
The States of Guernsey appointed him as an Adjudicator under the Guernsey 1998 Employment Protection Act in 1999. He was subsequently appointed by the States of Guernsey as Convener for the Employment and Discrimination Tribunal Service in February 2006.
In April 2005 he was also appointed to the Jersey Industrial Tribunal Service to hear cases in that jurisdiction.
He is licensed by Booth Corporation and ITDA for 360 survey activities and is a certified practitioner in the use of DiSC Psychometric tools; and is also a licensed Change Consultant / Counselor with the Bridges Corporation.
